I have an 05 FX4 with the in dash 6 **** CD changer with the MP3 player....i tried putting in a disk with MP3's on it and it wouldnt play....is there anything special you have to do like a certian button that has to be pushed to play an MP3 or what....i hope its not the player....and an operator error...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

 

Does it say 'MP3' on the face, just below the CD slot? If not, it's not an MP3 player.

does the disc work elsewhere, such as on other computers?

 

don't know if it makes a difference or not, but is the disk finalized?

 

okay here is the deal with these damn MP3 players. they only like to play mp3s in a data format. if your burner program has a "make a mp3 music cd" it wont work even though it will work in every other player. You have to make a "data" cd with your mp3's. Also make sure you put them in a folder(s) on the cd or it wont play it either.

Do the 04's with the Audiphile 6-Disc have the capabilities of playing the MP3's also? or is just the 05's?
