I checked both bolts(I saved the old ones).
Depot bolts are 8.8 which, from what I read, is same as grade 5.
Stock bolts are 9.8 which apparently is in between grade 5 and grade 8. Grade 8 = 10.6 So, the stock bolts aren't grade 8.

I know I need to get some pics. I don't have even one! I bought it on a Sat., bitterly cold. Then it snowed the next day!!!! So now in light of the snow earlier this week, it is absolutely horrid looking.

Had the windows tinted and my sub box/amp installed. Sounds great. MD laws suck for tint. I am a chicken & stayed 'legal' at 35%. Hope my next station is TX (again) and I'm goin' dark.

Promise pix soon. I need a gallery.

this place rocks!!

So does Home Depot carry stronger bolts than grade 5. No the OE bolts are not grade 8, but originally they only had an exposed portion of about less than 1". Exposed meaning from base of head to where the threads go into thebacking plate. How long is that distance now. You may want to go to grade 8 for the extra strength because of the length.

They don't carry grade 8 in metric. I actually checked several auto parts stores before Depot(they didn't have anything even close. There is prob close to an inch extra of "exposed bolt".
If I can ever find them in grade 8 I will change them. Much easier to do that than wait to get the first.

It was interesting that when I was looking for the bolt grade info, that I found some info about where grade 5 bolts are required. That is to ensure they break. I knew about blow off panels, but didn't know this was how they did it.

Very in-ter-esting(with a german accent). I especially like the retro looking cartoon.

Question bull bar w/ tow hooks

I got the bull bar on sans tow hooks. I bought the longer bolts at Home Depot, but couldn't figure out how to get both on.

Any advice
