Mushy Brake Pedal

Ever since I purchased my new truck a couple weeks ago, I've notice my brake peday had an uncomfortable amount of travel before the brakes actually engage. A good inch to an inch and a half as far as I can tell.

It's seems to improve if I pump the brakes a bit. I'll take it in soon but wanted to know if anyone else had this problem.

Thanks for your input.

i had the same problem after they fixed my front brakes for vibration. They shaved down the rotor because it was warped. After that my pedal was real mushy and when i confronted them about it they gave me bs as how all the trucks felt that way. that problem came back and i took it in for the vibration and they gave em new rotors. now its like it was when i bought it. press it down 1/8 inch and it feels like you slamed on the brakes.

Could also be air in the brake lines/low brake fluid.....maybe?
