when my truck is kinda cold, when i start it, it revs to almost 2500rpms, is this normal, it seems like it stays up there for a second or 2, but then it goes down to normal idle???

That's just the modern electronic version of the automatic choke kicking in, isn't it?

Mine goes up to about 1300 or so RPM and after a couple of seconds comes down to 850-900 RPM.

I have the SCT as well and today it was 24 deg outside at 6am, and the truck initially revd to around 1500-2000 and within 3-5 seconds it was down to 1100 and then after about 10-20 seconds it was down to 600.

Your truck is managing its emissions output. (Percentage wise anyway, I'm not so sure about total output... )

dont worry guys, ive asked the tech's at the local dealership and they said it is completely normal for the rpm's to rise like that on a cold start. im not sure why it does that, but i know that all 04-05 f150's do it. just be sure not to slip it in drive or reverse when the rpm's are that high...she'll take off on ya!
