As with all other Xcalibrator users, I am very happy with it. I had the 87 Performance, 93 Tow, and 93 Performance tuned into mine.

I'm currently running the 93 performance tune, it's sweet! I also have a Magnaflow exhaust and Airaid intake system. All three of the mods gave me a new truck. It sounds bada$$, especially under hard acceleration, and the firm shift points feel awesome. I've found that my truck will rev a lot higher before shifting for some extra vroom vroom.

I highly recommend these mods if you have the means. Also, please read this post I wrote if you have any concers about the Airaid intake being loud.

getting ready to make the plunge as well here, im prolly going to order the excaliber in a week or so. From everything everyone has said on this forum, this thing is going to make my truck scream. BUT, i have 2 questions, 1- how hard is this thing on the engine, i plan on keeping this truck till it dies and i dont want to have engine problems with it. 2-how much performancewill i get with the standard 87 octane tune.

My truck is allrady pretty fast, still a stocker, but i dont have much throttle lag at all in it, so will the excaliber still benefit me?

Honestly if I was your position, I would wait to get the Xcalibrator 2 instead of the Xcalibrator. I only say to get the X2 instead of the X1 because the X2 is coming out very soon. I will probably end up upgrading to the X2 once it comes out. Just make sure you give Mike Troyer a call at Troyer Performance once you are ready to purchase the Xcalibrator 2. You won't be disappointed by Mike's custom tuning. As for your questions, check out the chips and programming section because they have some very detailed answers to your questions.
