How do you remove the dome lights?
I've got a burnt out bulb in the rear dome light and I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove it to replace the bulb. It appears as though it's held in by clips, but I'm afraid of breakage if I pull too hard.
Can somebody help!

Originally posted by Perceptron Rear dome light in Scab is held on with spring clips, just pull down, HARD (it clips into plastic so I avoided pulling hard since it felt like it would break, nope). Reinstallation is not easy, you gotta push REAL HARD. The clothes hooks look like they need a special tool for removal, but I may be able to get the antenna connector to where it needs to be from the dome light opening, and then fish the wire, avoiding the need to totally remove the headliner. Wish me luck
I pulled my dome light cover last night to work on a roof liner rattle I have been battling. What a PITA it was to get the light cover off! I thought for sure I was going to break the thing, but it finally pulled out. It has 3 or 4 plastic tabs holding it up there, so you really have to tug!
This is such a dumba$$ way to install something. What was wrong with a couple of screws to hold that thing up there? All these new vehicles use clips to hold stuff together. Try to find a clip on my '69 T-bird, all screws for everything!
At the very least make it SOMEWHAT easy to pull the light down to replace a bulb. I'm terrified at the thought of a bulb in the front dome burning out!
