If the lifters went bad a 40K isn't that out of warranty?

The first time I brought the truck in was at 35K, and since they misdiagnosed the problem the first time they fixed it under warantee.

However, I have had some problems with my '04 5.4. I just got it back from the dealership; they had it for FIVE WEEKS!!!

Over that time they replaced the lifters, the timing chain tensioner, and the sway bar links.

Any constructive comments would be appreciated.
Lifters? Are you sure they replaced lifters? Lifters? I'm just making sure you are sure that they replaced the lifters.

Are you sure?

My dealer keeps assuring me that I'm hearing the injectors.

Yes the lifters, they showed them to me. The noise was an awful clatter at start up, almost like a rod knock. I asked them what could cause the lifters to go bad so soon and they couldn't tell me. I requested that they check the oil pressure, and they said it was normal.

No problem. The one thing I can suggest is to change the oil frequently.

Good luck with the Mach I, beautiful car.

Well im adding to my problem engine light came on today at 10,000 miles.
I was just laughing at my cousin his engine light has been on. He took it to the dealer they have it for five days. Dealer says it has to do with somthing about his exhaust.
