I found out yesterday that my cab has a leak, might be the third break light,also my antenna broke .it's broken at the threads inside i don't think it can be tapped out looks like it might have to be replaced.here are the questions,i bought my truck at a dealer about 80 miles away,but there are 2 dealers within 10 miles of me,do i have to take the truck to the dealer of my purchase for warranty work?also should i inquire about the reflash since i have the 4.6 ?is there even a reflash for the 4.6?

 

You can take it to any Ford dealer. I've been dealing with a dealer that I didn't buy my truck from and they have treated me great so far.

I think the TSB for the reflash applies to the 5.4 only, but don't quote me on that. It can't hurt to ask them.

 

thank you so much for the speedy reply.this is my first brand new vehicle,never had to see the dealer for anything before.sounds weird but i got that going to the doctor feeling.

 

houtxstx, there have been a ton of folks who had problems with the high mounted stop light leaking. If I'm not mistaken there is a TSB out on them so ask the service advisor to be sure and check for it.

 

I had a reflash done to my 4.6l about 2 months ago for sluggish responce! It worked!

 

I just got my 3rd brake light fixed, take it in, tell them it's leaking, and they'll take care of it for you...shouldn't take them longer than a few hours max...
