Flowmaster and warranty

I'm thinking about installing a Flowmaster 40 series. Will this affect my warranty?

no...unless it is shown with exceptional evidence that it was the "cause" of a problem encountered.......

Most cool dealers wont squak about things like intake, exhaust, and over-size tires/lift.........

ANY lift to your vehicle voids the warranty.

Anything you add can void all or part of the warranty.

No it doesn't. Ford can void all or part of a vehicle warranty. It does not matter if they have proof or no proof. They are the decision maker in the process. You have no say unless you sue.

They cannot void a warranty.

Has anyone ever heard of the Moss Magnason Act?

Read that and then you will understand

Yes, they can. Ford does not ask you if they can pretty please void your warranty. They can void your warranty if they feel like it. It is the customers decision to fight this or not.

when you are finished reading that, you can start reading about contractual law. When you buy a vehicle from Ford you are entering into a contract. For an agreed to price, they give you a vehicle and agree to warrant it against defects for 3 years. That contrat also states they reserve the right to not honor that warranty if the vehicle is altered from stock in any way.

Period. The contract is very clear and signed by YOU.

If you dont like like those terms, dont buy a Ford.

MM, for the record was primarily intended to apply to replacement of stock parts. For example, Ford cant force you to use only Motorcraft oil filters as long as the Fram or Purolator meet the original factory spec.

The changes described here are very much altering the vehicle from stock.

yeah, its a pity that some keep thinking MM will let them install a supercharger and still expect Ford to repair their vibe.

I dont think the exhaust would void your warranty as long as you have paperwork from the installer showing it was done professionally

Just to clarify my earlier post, technically speaking, any mod done to a vehicle that affects parts related to the modification can be refused repair by Ford.

DarkKnight went to the extreme with my post. J150 said it best. Read then reread his post.

BTW the MM doesn't apply in Canada, so any fellow Canucks reading that stuff, ignore it. There are different laws up here.
