Changing the muffler might void the exhaust system warranty, maybe but not the overall warranty such as drive train etc.

short answer... Ford reserves the right to deny any warranty claim if you have altered the vehicle. Minor mods, they will overlook.

Basucally what it comes down to is whether or not the stealership is going to try and jack you around. I could take my truck to one dealership and they could say that the warranty was voided by the mods, and then take it to a different dealership and they would do the warranty work without saying anything. As for the exhaust, when i took my truck for a clutch pack replacement, the head mechanic complimented me on the way my truck sounded with the flowmasters on it. Go for the exhaust system

Junior FX4,

Adding Flowmaster 40 series will not void your warranty. My dealership installed my FM 40 before I took ownership of it.

Just an FYI as well,
If you like noise get the Flowmaster, I f you want performance get the Magnaflow. I am replacing mine with the Magnaflow shortly. I'll sell ya mine cheap, J/K they will probably have to cut it off, since they welded it on......

This is exactly why, as much as it kills me, I'm keeping my truck stock until the warranty is done.
