Powered mirrors with turn signals?

I have a friend who just has the same model truck as me and he has these..He just got some big towing mirrors, and I want to buy them.....I have power mirrors.....if I got them does anyone know if the wires are already set up or do I have to do some serious work?

You will be able to use the power heated mirrors, but not the power folding mirrors as that is a new thing this year on the King Ranch. There were a few guys here who were trying to retrofit our trucks for this option, but not to sure if they got it to work, and how much it would cost.

So if I just get these things and take my powered mirrors off...and connected these with the stock wires....the turn signals will also work?

Where can I get a wiring diagram so that I can get the power mirrors with turn signal for my XL? Not the power folding mirror just the power with turnsignal.

Thanks,
Matt

1 Krazy Kanuck - FYI (and others) the install of the King Ranch power folding on the 04 was a success. Cost was about $600 for parts and install.

So let me get this straight, I have regular power mirrors right now on my FX4. If I was to purchase a set of factory power heated mirrors with turn signals, they would plug right in and work? Is the heated part on the mirrors a switch, or are they just heated all the time when the truck is on? Let me know if this is just plug and work install for me, cause I have my stupid hat on today!

Thanks!

As far as I know, all the F150's have the same wiring harness if I'm not mistaken. In that case, they should just plug right into the inside of your door panel I believe. The button that turns the heated mirrors goes right next the the button that you press for your AC that has that little LED green light that goes on. You'll have a picture of what looks like a rear window defrost, but it acually controlls your heated mirrors when you need them on. I have them on mine, and used them about 7 times within 4 months in the winter from ice and snow. They work great and melt everything very fast, plus I love the lighted LED turn mirrors as it really helps out to move around in traffic as cars next to you will see if your trying to get over! I'd invest in a set of these if you really want them, they look great and do a good job!

Sorry if I'm mistaken about the wire harnest all the same in the F150's, but thats what I hear of anyway...correct me if I'm wrong though...

Awesome, but how would I go about getting that button so that I could put it in the factory spot and have the heated mirror switch there? Thanks.

Be careful about assuming the wire harness is the same between truck models. It is not the same between a an '05 King Ranch and an '05 Lariat. For all those out there I am putting the final touches on a document to install power folding mirrors on an 05 150. A fellow memebr on this site and I have been working this issue for some time. We got it to work after a lot of research. Hopefully my documentation can save a lot of people a lot of time. Look for a post some time toward the end of next week.

Thanks for your hard work BSM2001! Guys like you, Bob Chapman, 05 150 KR, yob2kanobe, RockPick, baja150 make this site so kewl! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

My goal for the installation is to minimize any splicing of the stock wiring, but to add an "inline" harness to introduce the missing wires/pins to the circuit(s). Since my 04 Lariat SCrew is a lease, I want to keep it as "stock" as possible.

I have a customer that makes custom wiring harnesses. The owner told me that he needs a prototype/sample, and he can make more of them. That way, for all of the guys (by reading the posts, there seems to be plenty) who want this add on can do so with as little modification as possible.
