Hello,
I got a quote from my local muffler shop for $750.00 for this cat back system and Installation. Is this a good price? How loud is this system? and How do you like it? Any input would be great!!! Thanks

Moose...since you can acquire a 15834 for less than $500 ANYWHERE ON THE PLANET (last week, I paid $383 with free delivery...Hottexhaust), that would mean your installer is charging at least $250 for an installation that takes 90 minutes or less. Wow...that's steep!

P.S. The Magnaflow cat-backs, even though straight-thrus, are quiet at idle, no drone in the cab at highway speeds, and mellow (like the 50's glasspaks) under heavy throttle...they won't wake the neighbors in the morning like the ricers do.

Well, ya know that $480 is the top retail price for the product, so the question is...what are ya willing to pay for labor, i.e. what is a fair price for installation...only you can determine that as it's your money.

BTW, you'll luv the 18 inch rolled tips that come with the system. They're a work of art...worth $50-75 each in my view.

If y'all do a search (type Magnaflow), you'll find many install comments, photos, etc.

Good luck.

“$383 with free delivery...Hottexhaust” I don’t see that anywhere on their web sight. $459.86 and up is what’s listed for the F150 04's

Hottexhaust

jp...I ordered the 15834 from them on January 30 within minutes after noting a thread on this forum mentioning the $383.88 price with free shipping...apparently there was a discount offered, perhaps expiring on 1/31 according to one person who posted on the thread. A good deal...give them a call and see if it's still being offered at that price.

That’s a killer deal. As soon as I saw your post, I went to their web sight but that price wasn’t there. I’m going to call them as you suggest and see what they say.

jpdadeo,

Check out these 2 threads for the coupon information:

Thread 1

Thread 2

If the coupon is still good the price is $384.00 to the door. Hottexhaust, that's where I got mine.

So, is the following correct? For a dual rear-out Magnaflow SS cat-back system, the order # are:

For pre-June '04 build....15834.

For post-June '04 and '05....16614.

Correct?
