Trouble with DDX7015 and amp in Truck.

Guys,

Any assistance would be helpful. I'm trying to hook an amp to my Kenwood DDX7015 in my F150. I'm using an amp out of my old truck and it was working properly. When I hook it to my DDX7015, I have low volume and a kind of tin can sound. Is there a certain frequency setting I should know about or a setting in the unit itself? Anything regarding the wiring of the F150. Thanks.

I'm sure but I've been told that the factory HU is only about 4 watts output which is what the amp is setup to recieve. If you run a high output HU like the DDX which is probably around 12 to 20 watts then the output for the amp is to high. You should probably just bypass the amp all together.
