Anyone driving a new Roush yet?

My brother who lives in Las Vegas is trading his 2001 sport trac in on a supercrew. He's ran across a Roush Stage 1 or 2 at the dealership he was at. Apparently, a supercharger is an option that can be added into the Stage 1 package for the supercrew and still be under a 3/36 warranty that's honored by ford. After searching the forums, it looks like the power leaves a little to be desired, but the styling and other mods are getting good raves. Is anyone here currently running with a Roush package in the newer 2004-2005, and if so, watcha think?

I am sure very soon we will see a few pop up on the board. I would wait however for the Whipple charger. About 75 more ponies than the Roush puts out.
BTW- read this months articles in Motor Trend or Truck Trend about the Roush blown F-150. HP is 405 and its only in the high 14's in the 1/4 mile!

If you buy the Roush blower and install it yourself or at a independent mechanic, I wonder if its warrantied? I bet you would have to have a dealer install it if you want the warranty be valid for your engine.

From what I understand, having a Roush certified dealer install the blower will keep the factory warranty with Ford. Apparently Ford recognizes Roush as a reputable source of aftermarket performance upgrades, and as such will warranty their work. However, this info was from the dealer my bro talked with, so it might be a load of BS. But aren't all dealers trustworthy?

I am guessing that its about a 10 hr install for the blower. So with tax and any BS dealership charges, at least $1300 for the job.

I was informed by the dealer that it would be warrantied if the parts were installed by ford or roush. I am planning on ordering the truck, have it shipped to Roush for the installs, then to the dealer for me to sign my life away and pick up.

I'm still up in the air over the supercharger. At $5400, plus 8 hours labor for install, it is a high priced supercharger in comparison with other superchargers or turbo kits on the market. I think they are trying to justify the higher price with being able to keep the warranty, although I've heard horror stories of Ford dealerships not honoring the warranty on Roush Mustangs. I'll have to look into it more before taking the plunge.

The truck will be an '05 supercrew 4X4 with the Roush Suspension package, which lowers the rear 3" and the front 2". I'm putting together a list of the items that I want straight from Roush, which does not include those 20" rims, those things are fugly.

If anybody owns a Roush F150, 2004 or newer, I'd like to hear your opinions on it.
