are the headrests on the captains chairs removable?

I recently purchased some seat covers and the instructions require the headrest to be removed for installation...i attempted to remove them but to no success...am i just not trying hard enough, or are they stuck in the seat?

I have tried with basically all of my might to pull them out...i did manage to get one of the rear headrests (supercrew) out, but i ended up pulling out the whole assembly, anchor and all...all the manual says it that the headrest will move up and down when the button is depressed...nothing about removal...anyone able to do this?

Try squeezing the metal supports together while pulling up on the headrest

This is how they are removed on some cars. Haven't tried it on my crew

OK...there is TWO buttoms you have to push. The obviouse one the raises the HR up and down and another one on the other post thats less obviouse. Its part of the round plastic thing the HR sides into (look close and you will see it). You have to pull the HR up as far as you can with the main button...then press the other button in to release it.
