I got a set just 3 days ago off e-bay...I had the dealer install them for me...cost me 168 bucks to install! Outch! I guess they had to take that plastic cover off and cut around where the hooks would go and bolt them inplace. Looks good and they already came in use today as I pulled a car out of the snow in 2wd!! These trucks are great!!! :-)

I have a set for sale on E-bay. I won't "burn" you. E-mail me if you need further info. Jdig@optonline.net

TritonXLT,

Or anyone else, for that matter -

Could you post, or point me toward, some close-up pictures of your tow hooks? I am considering installing a pair, but I am hesitating cutting the bottom plastic trim.

Just wondering how it turned out.

Thanks very much, in advance.

Heres my pictures, you can see the tow hooks...dealer charged me 169 bucks in labor to cut that plastic out! That was insane, I could have done it myself! Here you go..https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=5280

Anytime! Does that mean you are going to instal the hooks? I got mine off ebay, I think I just saw a set on there yesterday if you don't have them yet. Goodluck!

I think eBay is my best bet.

How much of the black trim did they remove? Just enough for the hook to fit through, or is there some clearance? I don't see a knock-out on my truck, so I imagine they cut it by hand.

Can you buy the plastic piece with the holes for tow hooks, or do you have to do some cutting? How much is that piece also?

HHIFX4,

I sent you an email, but the board seemed to take a dump right after I hit "send". Please let me know if you don't receive it.

Thanks.
