my F-150 needs a cam replace at 1352 miles

The lifter is on one side of the cam towards the center of the motor . The cam is in the center . The valve is on the bottom , The follower sits on the lifter and the other end is on valve. The cam is above the follower and makes contact with the cam by a wheel that is in the center of the follower. The lifter isn't a lifter like a push rod motor , it's more like slack adjuster, keeps the follower in contact with the cam .

well my dealer called... my truck is al back together and running with a new cam and followers... and its STILL TICKING..... they have no idea what the problem is.... WTF-

Dealer just called again and doesnt want to deal with this problem anymore.... they want to install a new engine and give me a 75K/5yr warranty- I would rather have a new truck since I dont want my $40K truck with only 1353 miles being hacked apart

They sound like they are being pretty fair. I'd be happy with the new engine and the warrenty. Could be a long fight if you go for a new truck.
