Inner fender covers

Does anybody know of an inner fender guard of some sort that will make the inner wells a little easier to clean after mudding? As it is now I am under the truck with a hose for a good hour ESPECIALLY around the back of the front bumper fog lights. Thanks in advance!!

I feel your pain. But I dont know of anything to cover that up. I am sure you could fab something up, but right now the only thing I can tell you is dig in and spray the hell out of it. Its amazing how much mud gets tucked in the back bumper too. Cleaning up is always a down side to good offroading.

The best thing to do really is to get a can of PAM or similar non-stick spray and spray your wheel wells and inner bumpers before you hit the mud. It works well and makes clean up much easier. It will wear off during the day, so it helps if you can clean and refresh after 4-6 hours or so.

Of course, if you are going to work sites and what not during the day, this may not work for you. But if you are going to hit the trails for a few hours on the weekend, it takes about 5 extra minutes before you leave the house.

Try not to get any on your paint or chrome, it shouldn't hurt it, but if you don't clean it off right away it will leave a smudge that will take some elbow grease to get out.

Just an idea.... I was thinking that when the new Lincoln version of the F150 is released chances are they will come with rear wheel well liners. I can't see Ford allowing a Lincoln to roll off the line with that huge gap visible between the body and frame. Sure that gap is fine for us lowly Ford owners.......... but a Lincoln? Now where did I leave that Rolex of mine........

This is a GREAT question...

I didn't notice that Ford had dropped the wheel well liners until I got my truck home. I really feel that this is something that shouldn't have been shortcut upon to save a buck but, I'm not on the design staff.

If anyone comes up with something along these lines, please be sure to post.
