Before anybody bites my head off, I used the "SEARCH" function in regards to this question but I found conflicting answers.

I have a 2004 FX4 and I want to get bigger gears. Whats the official size of the rear end? 8.8 or 9.75? I'm pretty sure the front is 8.8..

5.4L (without heavy duty package) come with 9.75 and front is 8.8

4.6L - 8.8 front and rear
