I just purchased a tonneau cover from the Ford Dealership for my new 2004 F150 Lariet Styleside Supercab with 6-1/2' bed (new body Style.

The cover doesn't look right.

It's more of a rectangle while the bed is wider at the cab than at the tail gate.

Do you think the dealership sold me the wrong cover (maybe for a 2004 Heritage instead)

Should it completely cover the top edge of the bed all the way on both sides?

Images that I saw of the Ford cover looked like my Tonneau Masters cover........

You may indeed have the wrong item. I would want it to match the contour of the bed rails.

check my gallery, I have a few pics of the Ford snapless cover and the Ford part number as well. I know what you mean, mine is not flush with the bed side all the way up. Im not sure you would get a good tight fit if it were widder at the front of the bed and more narrow at the back.

Thanks for the link to your photos... yep, that's the same fit as mine... it just doesn't look like it's the right one but guess it is.
Just seemed as tho by buying it from Ford, it'd fit better.
