Mark LT shifter part numbers...maybe?

So, while sitting around at work today with nothing better to do, I hooked up with my main parts goon and browsed around through Ford's CPD parts system, looking at various F150 goodies. The Mark LT is not officially an option in the system just yet, but if a search is used, with an '06 F150 as the vehicle, and the base part number for the shifter assembly (7213), and the 4R75W transmission option is selected, three different shifters came up, with two of them being listed as "Lincoln version." Hmmm...leather wrapped Mark LT versions, maybe? When checking for prices though, nothing popped up. So tentatively, the part numbers for the LT shifter are...

5L3Z-7213-AA for Ebony

5L3Z-7213-BA for "Medium Pebble" (Light Parchment, I guess, or maybe some kinda gray)

Definite parts info should be available sometime in March or April, or whenever we get our first LT, whichever comes first.

<edited cuz speeling sucks when I post just after I get home from work...>

My concern would be that its just the same cheap plastic as we have wrapped in leather. I hope not, but....

God only knows what it will cost, the FX4 handle is $50 from Ford.

So...there's no black available? I would have to have black or no go. I guess you would have to replace the entire shifter and not just the shifter **** as I remember it being one complete unit.

"Ebony" is supposed to be black. Whether or not it's just leather wrapped plastic, I don't know. Gotta wait for one to show up on the transporter. Hopefully, that'll be sometime in March or April.

Probably have to at least wait till the thing comes out. I think they're suppose to debut the LT in the array of SuperBowl advertisements! Maybe they will be available soon after that.

If you guys are interested in a replacement for the stock shifter, there is this thread about another possible alternative (if you haven't seen it already)

Don't thank me just yet...

Like jhartz said, it's not showing on DOES II or CPD just yet, and there's a possibility that those numbers will change whenever it really does show up in the system. That's just me being bored combined with a parts guy that's bored.

lol...Love my job!! I like people like you that come in and want to look this stuff up.. I instantly went into work yesterday after reading this post... and looked up the shifter.. Looks to be different than ours, and I hope it is! I will also keep everyone posted.... Just a thought though, wouldnt it be alot easier to just wrap a piece of quality black leather around the sifter, then have it stiched together with white stiching for us FX4 owners of course.... I have thought about this, and I think im gonna give it a try... I my father owns a sewing business (one of the last few manufacturing plants in this country) and I bet he can get it done... and if it works, there will be alot of happy F150 customers!!

Talking Custom Leather Wrapped Pic

jhartz,

Please post a pic if you do the custome leather wrapped shifter for FX4s (white stitch). I would really like to see how it turns out.

Billett Shifter, Mark LT, or Custom Leather - something else has to be better than that plastic shifter!!!
