What do you think is making the noise?

I have an 04 f150 supercrew XLT. For a while now I have noticed something from the front end of the truck rattling. I thought it was the vent right outside of the front windshild hitting the glass. I went outside today cause I can't stand it anymore, and I went to mess with the vent, but it seems like it's very solid and doesn't have much play at all in it to move around and make the noise?

I do have a factory bug guard on the front of my hood, I take my hand and move it back and forth and I hear all kinds of creaking noises from having plasitc rubbing againest metel. Do you think that creaking sound would be the one to make it into the cab of the truck??

I didn't want to just take the bug sheld off right now since it's only around 7 out and I'm freezing my butt off trying to fix this. I need help, do you think it's that vent making noise somehow or the bug sheild creaking when I go over bumps?

Well.. you certainly shouldn't be able to move the bug guard back
and forth. There's something wrong right there. Who put it on?
It should be nice and tight with both ends secured with the little
clamps that slide on the hood and mount the two little screws to.
Open your hood and check the bolts that the guard fits behind,
maybe they weren't tightened well enough when the guard was put on, and they've backed off a little.
( that is of course if that's the problem at all ) though i can assure you the bug guard SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO MOVE.......

good luck
