Lincoln Mark LT

i just built me a 2006 Lincoln Mark LT on Lincoln's web site. Base price for 4x4 is 43,495!! There are not too many options available. Most everything is standard. So just for the hell of it I added every option to see how much it would cost......47,605!!! Holy Crap!! That's a lotta cash for an F-150 with some chrome accents, ugly tail lights and grille.

Doesn't it also come with a 6 speed auto trans?

I think Lincoln will do well with this truck. I bet there is a demand for a luxury pickup that can actually be used as a truck!
BTW- It looks sooooo much nicer than the Escalade EXT!

I'm sure there will be enough rich people who will probably buy one of these. I agree that they look better than the Cadilac truck. But, like those who buy the Caddy, I'm sure they will never be used to haul much of anything or used as most people use their trucks.

to be honest with you if it was out a few months back I would not be suprised to see one sitting here over the Avaitor. BTW, the Avaitor is a damn nice truck. Ford is going to ***** themselves going to a crossover verson baised on a *eek* mazda

I would have though ford would have larnt its lesson after the blackwood bombed. Not that i dont think a luxury truck could sell, its just that the Mark lt really isent a luxery truck in my opinion. All the advertisements iv see for it say things like "heated leather seats, power adjustable pedles etc..." well you can get all that on the f-150's!!! what is really differnt about the mark lt besides the price? it had a lincoln badge with some chrome??

I don't see the point in the LT over Lariat and King Ranch F150s. I guess if you really wanted that Lincoln badge...

We've already got four or five orders for the damn things, so what do I know.

I want the leather covered shift **** for my F-150. I want it. I want it now. I really really want it. I've already called multiple dealers and none of them have a parts catalog yet. Did I mention that I want it NOW!!!

The Explorer based Aviator has bombed, mainly because it's too close to the price of the Navigator, so what’s the point?

Sales of medium sized premium SUVs these days have moved to more car based SUV's, suchs as the Lexus RX, Infiniti FX, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Etc.

The Mazda 6 based Aviator coming out soon is a good move by Ford, especially since the Mazda 6 platform is so good. BTW - The Mazda 6 platform will be used my many front-drive Ford Corp vehicles besides the Aviator, such as the Lincoln Zephyr, Ford Fusion (AKA Futura), and Mercury Milan.

Lincoln and Caddy both should stay out of the truck and SUV biz. They both build nice cars and should stick with that. There's absolutely no reason for everyone to build everything.

I'd love to rebuild a 66 Continental convertable with the suicide doors. Get tow vehicles also with those old 460/C6 drivetrains..
