How About Those Ice Magnet Wiper Blades..
If you are talking about saturdays snow storm, I had the same problem.
Couldn't seem to get them ( wipers) to not ice up, but even the wife came home complaining about her car and she thought something was wrong with her defroster. No matter what wipers you have, under those conditions i think it would have been a problem. A lot of snow and very cold.

three words winter wiper blades
steel hinge blades i don't care who's truck their on, will freeze up in snow and freezing rain. i put winter blades on for the winter and never have any problems.

Anyone ever hear of Reflex Blades? They are made in Canada. I see commercials for them here in the US, on Canadian TV, ever once in awhile. They look pretty nice. Any Canadians out there want to give us some info?
we have winter wipers here in canada that are strickly for winter and 40 below zero temps...
they are completely encased in rubber skin...the ice ans snow has no chance to stick to the hinges and flex points....
They are the best thing for winter driving...
However...no wiper will work completely problem free in the right conditions....
ie...blowing cold, ice and snow. The heat just does not come through the windshield hot enough in those conditions..

oh yeah..a quick tip...keep a spray bottle of winter windshield washer fluid in your truck....
when it does freeze...bang your wipers off and spray them down with this....
will help for a bit.
also..give them a spray of silicone everynow and then....keeps the ice from forming,

Did you ever resolve you situation with the Silblades? I'd be interested in the outcome before place an order.
Thanks!

I actually rotated the right blade to the left and vice-versa. Also, I abrasively cleaned the windshield using Meguiar's #83 Dual-Action Cleaner Polish with a rotary buffer and they're just about as good as new.
I believe my windshield had a limey buildup on them that simply kept the wipers from performing as they were meant.
