Just wondering?

The strangest thing started hapenning the day after I had the leveling kit installed and wondered if anyone else had this happen to them. As I was driving down the highway to the next job my dashboard started making this ticking noise (almost sounded like water dripping inside the dash). Then as I sat in the parking lot of the Starbucks, I noticed when I pushed the brake pedal the dash board would creak. This is not a joke by the way. It seemed to only be happening when I had weight in the bed. No weight (tools, lumber, etc) no noise. weighted down the creaking/ticking would return. This has since stopped but it went on for a few days and really bothered me and I even considered yanking the kit. I'm very curiouse to know if anyone else has had this experience.

ummmm, i believe you but i dont think there is a simple fix here, you just have to hunt out and find what the ticking noise is in your dash. it probably wont be easy. maybe load up the bed and have a friend jump in the back to get some movement and see if you can hunt it down. or just crawl under there and look around for something touching that may create a sqeak or tick, maybe something hanging loose or something rubbing on something else!! i dont know what else to tell you!

Dash

I know where it is, it's the plastic panel next to the radio. When it first started I could make it stop by pressing on that particular part of the dash and when taking pressure off it would start up again. The thing that really concerned me was while parked, pressing the brake pedal would make the dash creak almost as if the frame of the truck was flexing. Of coarse the truck was running while this was happening. It has since stopped though and the truck seems to be fine. I don't get it. I am just glad it stopped.

That's wierd. I didn't have any problems when I installed my leveling kit. Have no idea as to what it may be or why it would start after the install. Hope you find it and get it fixed. Probably just the something loosened up when you jacked up the front of the truck.
Good luck.
