Dealer told me they reflashed mine and I cant tell a differnce at all. If there is a difference..... I think the lag is worse. There is no sticker either. I asked them about the sticker and they had no clue what I was talking about.

Where can we get this info or do we just give you our Vin#?

Shoot me an E-mail or post your VIN here, either is fine.

Quintin,

Just wondering if you had happened to remember to see if those parts for TSB 03-26-4 are truly on backorder or not.

Thanks.

Question ? for Quintin

Quintin,

Is getting the latest "calibrations" for the PCM the same thing as "having the PCM flashed"? Also I was wondering if you could tell me what the latest calibration is for my PCM. My VIN is: 1FTPX14534FA14838. Thanks.

Quinton,
Thanks for all your advice if you have time would you check my VIN# out please. I have asked 3 times from my dealer to check for a reflash update and have been told that there is none, the reason I ask for one is the throttle lag and the Idle speed is about 500rpm which makes vibration at idle, but they say thats normal or within specs?

Thanks

VIN# 1FTPW12594KC03295

Yup. Your base engine calibration is 4F614B0A. I'm not sure what the PCM part number is, it's not listed in the warranty history. Your PCM was reprogrammed to address a surging at 1100 rpm according to Jack Kain Ford.

There's an updated calibration for a hesistation on acceleration and/or an erratic idle when coming to a stop. Your dealer should reference TSB 04-21-14, which is inbound to you via E-mail, BTW. There is a message regarding an idle vibration in 2WD trucks with the 5.4 3V, which mine does too, unfortunately it's one of those "engineering is aware of the concern and is currently working on a solution" messages. Mine doesn't seem to idle as smoothly as it should, feels almost like it has a very slight skip at idle. Whenever Ford says how to fix 'em, I'll use my truck as a guinea pig.

Edited to add: Whoops, it says you don't want E-mail via this board. Well, shoot me one and I'll get you a copy of that bulletin.

Thanks Quintin. Jack Kain Ford didn't put the modification sticker on and I have discussed it with the service manager after the service advisor told me it wasn't necessary (yeah right). Thanks again.

Has it been ruled yet that the reflash is or is not helping with the fuel economy of certain F150's?

Mine has been reflashed and my mileage is still lousy. 13.7 MPG on a 121 mile mostly interstate trip for BBQ yesterday. The fact that I was driving 85-95 MPH might have had a little something to do with that though!
