Remote Start/Alarm

I received a Hornet remote start with a car alarm. I called the insurance agent and they said I do get a discount for the alarm, but I never thought to ask if the remote start would possibly make it go up... Anyone have any idea? Oh yea, I live in the great state of NJ.... Should I just tell'em it's an alarm? lol

Yes, just tell them it's an alarm. They may or may not have the specs on it in their system. Plus, you still have to have the key to drive off with the truck. So, the "remote" part is a moot point.

Thanks for reminding me about calling my insurance agent about the alarm system and lower insurance costs. I meant to do this when I got the Ford Gold Remote start/security system put in, but forgot about it. Will have to make sure to call tomorrow. Anything to lower insurance is a good thing.
