Those Who Have Gone Through DSB Process...

I'm looking for some guidance in how to effectively put together and submit a package. My dealer owes me two work orders that they never provided to me (where wheels & tires were replaced), and I have one earlier one (two replaced tires) along with one they'll give me from today (stating that the FSE drove the truck and it's "normal"; they're also going to state that the existing TSBs aren't applicable).

Along with the work orders I kept a typed log of my phone calls and service visits. Since the dealer and FSE refuse to go through steps outlined in the TSBs, should I request an independent verification of the problem, or go straight to requesting a replacement vehicle?

I went through the DSB process in regards to my truck and vibration. I was awarded a replacement vehicle by the DSB. Here are my recommendations:

- Document everything. Don't count on your Dealership.
- Work closely with the Service Manager on your issue
- If possible have a Ford Service Engineer look at your truck
- Have the dealer go through all the steps of the TSB
- If the dealership or Ford refuses to work on your vehicle and you are still not satisfied then you probably need to contact the DSB after all avenues have been exhausted.

The DSB is not just going to hand you a check or replacement vehicle without going through the steps. The DSB is fair and my experience with them has been positive. If you decide to go through with the DSB you need to have your documentation in order and be prepared to present your case on paper and verbally. The process takes several weeks to complete but you can expedite the process by having all your paperwork in order and work closely with the dealership and the DSB if you are awarded a buy back or replacement.

I received my check from the DSB process yesterday as well as handed my keys over. Ron (PALongbow) is a great help as he helped me. On my end, just be patient. Time is on your side if you catch everything early. Get all the work orders together, cound the days and read the work orders. If they leave anything out or word anything to sound differently than you think it should do NOT accept the work order. I had to do this a few times, be respectfull and keep your composer. Make sure the dealership is on board with repairs and if they refuse you service as far as TSB's are concerned document that to.

Thanks for the comments. I'm sure I'll be looking for additional help along the way.

Right now I'm thinking of asking for two possible resolutions: a) work through the existing TSBs or b) get me a truck that doesn't vibrate. I'm also thinking of asking for an independent third-party test drive; does anyone think the DSB would go for that?
