I really don't think anyone else is having that issue man.

Maybe you could re-phrase your question, you definately have my attention.

Are you saying, that after you install a pully set and tuner from troyer performance...that you now have an issue with a dim light shinning through your interior?????

I sure hope you are kidding. If not, I'd probably call Mike and ask.. what the hell man!!!????

Hi OP,
There are a couple of fixes to your problem. You can either get Mike Troyer to load some custom tunes in an Excalibrator for you, or go back to the stock pulleys. With the custom tuning, he can raise the idle speed, which will spin your alternator fast enough to keep the electrical part of your truck satisfied. If it were me, I would call Troyer and tell them what is going on...Kevin

Kevin's right, whats 's your rpm at idle, in gear? Steve
A little edit....You have the 1714, you can't have Mike change the tune, raising the idle is the answer. but how?

Can't do it with the 1714. Gotta get the custom tunes. Troyer can bump the idle if you purchase the Excalibrator.(The tuner that he loads the tunes in)...Kevin

Come on guys, a few you that replied in the beginning must not understand that much about this kind of thing, if you couldn't figure out his problem from his post.

He is looking for answers, which seem to have been provided, idle bump may work but, should the idle have changed, or dropped just from putting on the pulleys? I can't figure that out, a smaller Alt pulley may be a good cure, as it will make the Alt. spin faster at idle.

That Street Series pulley set requires 850 rpm of engine speed for full normal alternator output. If you’re less than that, which you probably are, the dim headlights are going to happen. I don’t think it will hurt anything though.

The actual idle of the truck will not change, just since the pulleys are underdrive, they spin all the accessories slower, which in turn requires the idle bump to compensate for the alternator turning slower.

Exclamation My experence

My Xcalibrator tune bumped up my rpm to about 750 rpm. Voltage remains at 14.1 or higher.

Even before I had the Xcalibrator I had a Troyer Stage I tune and rpm was 600 rpm. With the underdrives I still had 13.7 VDC at idle. This was same as my stock rpm.

Wondering what the rpm is on

op93lx 's engine? There may be something else going on here.
