Frozen door latch on a SCab

Has anyone with a 04\05 SCab experienced the following problem with their rear doors?

Several times this winter I went to open the rear door and nothing. The handle would flop back and forth like it wanted to catch and lift or push something inside but nothing. I tried pulling on the door but it was latched.

Later in the day when it warmed up, it worked fine. This has only happened three times and only when the tempature was below 20 degrees.

I am assuming some water is in the door or in the mechanics of the door but it had been at several days since it was washed.

Has anyone had this happen to them?
If yes, have you done anything to fix it?

I have had this happen a couple of times this winter. There is a small flap/button underneath the rear door handle which sometimes gets frozen stuck, simply move the latch out or flick it and the door handle will operate as it should, otherwise you get the condition you described.
