XM Installed

Finally got my XM installed. Went to the place I normally go to and was told to come back in five hours. I will call you bull-****. This is after waiting three weeks with an appointment. Told him to keep his stuff and refund the money. Then I went to Tones Tunes in Smithtown .

Tones called me to tell me when to drop buy and 45 minutes latter I am done. The same day I may add. Wll the tuner was installed behind the radio. There is literrlay a space the size of a milk crate back there. The antenna was installed in the front of the truck on the roof. The wire was put under the seal and through the side. I cant even see it.

Do you guys see any problems with the way it was mounted? Anybody else have leaks mounting it this way?

Could someone who put the antenna under the wiper cowl post a picture? I was wondering exactly where you put it. Thanks.

Thanks rockpick. I gotta say so far I am a bit disapointed. The sound is clear but not as sharp as I thought. I wrote this in my other post. It is a direct tuner and it just does not sound better than my cd player and it should it is all digital. The whole reason for me to replace the head unit was to get the best sound and avoid modulation. My wifes car I will go with a roady.

Also the volume has to be put up to 35 to get decent sound. My stereo use to blow your eardrumbs at 20.

Ok the sub had to be adjusted and I faded the back speakers. You guys were riight the back speakers take away from the sound. there are so many adjustments to the radio that I just have to keep playing with it. The volume is still weird though so I will look at the radio manual for a line in control.
