Grille Guards..HHmmmmmm

I am toying with putting a Grille Guard on the front of my 2004 Screw. Just wondering if I should go Black, or Crome. My first thought is crome, as my truck is Black, but the Crome is MUCH more expensive then the Black powdercoat.

Also, I have been looking at Weston, but that brand seems to be higher priced, so would love other suggestions.

Picks of trucks with Grille Guards would be great to see also!

Eather way it is going to cost me a small fortune to get one shipped up to Canada... and the prices up here are WAY out to lunch!

The Weston is $1500.00 CDN or $1235.00 US - I know..CRAZY since I can get the same from the US for 645.00 US or 784.00 CDN
plus deleiver.. another pain in the butt!

Anyways.. any respondses would be great!

Thanks

Go with the Chrome. It will look great on black. If you put the black one on you would hardy be able to tell you had a guard on.

$1235 thats a lot of bling. I didn't happen to notice what part of Canada you're from. Guess it wouldn't be worth it to trip down here to pick it up?

Actually I am in Ottawa, Ontario, about 45 mins from the border and Watertown, NY. I might have to take a nice day trip down there and check out the prices..lol

I can't take advantage of all the free delivery online eather, as it does not include Canada. Cant deliver to a post office box eather, or i could rent one of those on NY..lol

Thanks for the input so far!

Personally Im a fan of black on black.

I was in the same boat when I ordered my westin side bars. I plan to get a brush gard down the line so I want it all to match. After much though I went with the black. My truck is True Blue and I think the black is a nice addition. They look good but do not scream "bling bling"

Another nice thing with black, Living north like you and I do, Salt is a issue, black is much eazyer to clean that chrome is to polish.

I dont trust the finish on these products. Any that I have seen have surface rust after a couple of years.

Therefore my vote is black. You can sand off surface rust and repaint yourself. Re-Chroming requires professionals (equals cost)

I had a black one piece Manik on my Last truck...it was pretty good, no rust. Very strong. Very reasonable price.

I got my black Manik for $400 before taxes (installation included) from my dealership.
