rear defroster on with remote start
rear defroster on with remote start
Just had a Code Alarm 670 remote/alarm installed at a reputable shop.
I asked them to install the optional rear window defrost when I hit the remote start. They said they were unable to find the power wire in the dash that goes there.
He said if I can get a schematic to help find it, they would install for free.
Any ideas where I can find this information?
Otherwise, it's a great unit, 2 way remote, yada,yada....

it's the blue/orange wire leading to the defroster switch in the dash. If you search old messages, someone posted a link to the wiring diagram/manual. I don't have the rear window defrost, but just the heated side mirrors. After you remote start your truck, you press the start button one more time to active the defrost.
wow. rear window defroster. well aren't we fancy!
I use the rear defroster a lot. Since my garage bay houses the Cobra, the F150 sits outside in the cold PA winter.
Rear window frosts up many 'a morning.
Plus it also defrosts the mirrors as well.
