Thinking about getting a rhino liner. Anybody have one?. What should I stay away from.

I just got my Line-X on my Super Crew. Love it, looks great. Not sure the differences between X and Rhino.

Rhino is soft and looks like cottage cheese, Line-x is harder and appears much 'smoother' if you will.

Personally, scrap 'em both and get a bedrug...

I put Line-X in my 2000 Ranger and my 2002 Supercab F150. Looks the same as when it was put in, less the shine. My 2004 Supercrew had a dealer installed spray in, which I didn't care for but I liked the truck. I also have a bed rug in my 2004. In my opinion Line-X is far superior to Rhino Lining in texture and quality. You can't go wrong with the bed rugs either.

I had Rhino in my Chebby and am getting my F150 sprayed with Line-X in a few days. I was less than impressed with how the Rhino looked after I got rid of the truck. I've seen Line-X and it looks like a much "cleaner" product.

Although I was pleased with my two Rhino-liners, I will be getting Line-X on the new truck. I have seen too many Rhinos that were very faded after a few years. Never seen a Line-X with much fading at all. Both are definitely superior to a drop-in bedliner, IMHO.

I had a '98 ranger with Rhino. As for the "texture", i understand that they CONTROL that texture with a final overspray to create it, in fact they can make it smoother if you like.

My 04 F-150 i got Line-X as they had a deal with local vendor and it was easier to just go for it.....sales guy never listed the $400 dealer cost in, so it was a FREEBEE.

Pros on Rhino...softer, things dont SLIDE around (loved it)

LineX is harder and things slide like crazy...but for free, it'll take it.

Yes the rhino faded some, but never looked into whether it could be cleaned up...probably not.

I’m not sure what kind I have because the dealer had it sprayed in as a perk. It looks thick and is a little soft. I like it because it’s not slippery like a drop in.

I got the Rhino, very happy with the product, nothing slides, it is very skid resistant. The line x also appears to be a good product, dont thing you will go wrong with either, personal preference.

I looked at both Rhino and Line-X pretty carefully before getting my truck done. Also checked out something called Xtreme liners which appeared to be something similar to Line-X.

The price for each was fairly close, $425-Rhino, $475-Line-X, $400-Xtreme.

I opted for Line-X. It had a much nicer appearance than the Rhino and was harder. If you rub Rhino with Line-X, the Rhino flakes off like an eraser. There are also more Line-X dealers around in case you need warranty work done. Warranty is also the reason I didn't go with Xtreme. I could only locate one dealer in VT and if he went out of business I'd be screwed.

Bed rug ?? Who puts a rug in the back of a truck. You going to set up a living room in there.

bedrug

They have a 30 day trial. The rhino and line-x doesn't come with that.

I had rhino in the past and now have linex in my XLT. Both are good, the rhino I had oxidized or faded after about 9 months, no problems at all like that with the linex so far, but I've only had it about 6 months.

either one would be a good choice.

Bed rug is cheaper. Protects the same. No stains, chemical resistant, easy to clean... what's the problem? Plus, when you sell you scrap it (if you really beat the hell out of it) and you have a like-new bed. None off them offer really good dent protection, that's what hard liners are for. Some dealers actually knock $$ off for a spay-in since you've ruined the bed.

It all depends how hard your truck is going to work, and what your putting in the bed.

Asking what kind of liner to get without stating what you plan on doing with your bed is like asking 'what kind of car should I buy' without stating if your looking for a family wagon or sports car...
