There are two different vibes.
  1. Nimble in the steering wheel.
  2. Vibe felt throughout the whole truck

I was lucky enough to have both types on my 2004. The steering wheel vibe they could never fix. They replaced the wheels, tires, and the rack and pinion. However, the other vibe was fixed by a new transmission, torque convertor, and driveshaft.

Is this "Vibe" that you guys are talking about coming through the steering wheel? I bought a set of 20's and the shop has yet to be able to balance them so that I don't get a distinct shimmy from the wheel. I find myself with a death grip on the wheel to try to keep it from doing it. It's gotten to the point where I don't want to drive this thing anymore.....we take my wife's accord everywhere now. What sucks it that I have sunk about $3,000 in stereo equipment and another $1500 in wheels and tires and now I don't want to drive it.

SO my question is.....do I take it to the dealer to complain about this or is it a wheel/tire problem? I find that it only gets bad under certain conditions (going downhill on the gas, flat road, driving into the wind, etc..)

I'm in DFW so if anyone has found a helpful dealer.......
PLEASE HELP

BTW.....I think it's great that alot of people have had no problems with their trucks, I wish mine was one of them.
The first question is: Did you have the problem prior to adding the new tires and wheels? It appears that the original wheels and tires were traded to the tire shop for the new ones. If you can get them to put them back on your truck and you have still have the problem, see if they will let you "borrow" them to take the truck to the dealer. The dealer will most likely blame the problem on your new wheels and tires if you go in with the new ones. If the problem goes away with the stock parts, you know where the problem is.
