It's pretty simple to understand. He knows, like most trucks on the road, that it will never see offroad use. So it doesn't need to be tall for ground clearance.
With it lower though, it is easier to get in and out of, easier to put a load in the bed, better handling, better gas mileage, possibly a better ride. The list could go on and on.
Me likey.
Totally agree with fatherford.
Handling, gasmileage etc.
I have no clue why Ford builds the 4x2 as tall as they do, it should come from the factory about 2" front and 3" lower in the rear. when I bought my STX 4x2 there was about a 12" distance between the top of the tire and fenderlip in the rear.
First thing I did was to change to lowering
shackles but that didn't do all that much
so I'm waiting for a set of Roush rearleafs
they are a little pricey so I haven't bought them yet.

I dont know why ford made these 2x4 so low! I can go hunting or fishing anywhere without the front Valance scraping the ground or the reciever hitch draggin the ground. I want my 2x4 higher.
At least its not a chevy.. their 2x4's are LOW

If you bought a truck for truck use then lowering is not good. But, if you like the street look, engine performance and the looks of a truck then it is kick @$$.
I think it looks great
