Question Question for all SuperCab owners…

I noticed yesterday, after running my truck through the mill car-wash that water can get between the front door and the back “suicide” door. The metal outside part of the back door that is usually covered by the front door was dripping with water. Thankfully no water made it in the truck, but I was wondering if that was normal.

Thanks!

Mine is the same way no big deal to me unless the water gets inside the truck.

Did water get past the weatherstripping? You know, the rubber strip designed to keep water from getting into the truck? If not, then I do not understand your question.

I have had my truck through the carwash several times, have not experienced any water problems.

I was driving in the rain once and water was dripping from under the truck. I was like WTF!!! Lucky no water made it into the cab. I'm going to call my dealer and see if they'll do a buy back. If not it is DSB for me.

water leak

Mine does this as well. I usually have water all around both doors which I wipe down but the water does not seem to get into the truck. Also, watch out when using high pressure near the third brake light as I have seen water coming into the headliner too. I have noticed that when sitting in the back seat, I can see sunlight shining through the door edges. This concerned me at first but I have never seen water on the interior so I'm no longer concerned.

Hopefully you'll never take your door panel trim off after a washing or rain. All the water in there will really freak you out...

if it's dry inside, everything is working as it should.

Having never went through a car wash, do you guys have to remove anything before going through. Antenna? How do the ventshades and hood shield fair. I keep thinking about running through one but uncertain about it.
