In your owners manual search "seat belt minder". You will find a squence that turns the minder off.

Just look in the owners manual. That is the first thing that I did when I got my truck. Got tired of hearing the seat belt reminder all of the time. You'll need to do it seperately for the passenger and driver's sides.

I can't believe the procedure for removing the seat belt chime is real, it reminds of entering cheat codes for video games back in the day.......

up, up, down, down, left, right, left right, A,B,A,B, select , start..........

Insane isn't it? Does this crazy procedure only have to be done once or each time?

Just once, BUT...you have to do both driver and passanger seats or else it wont work. Good luck, be patient, it will work. I only had to do it twice and got it.

Doing it twice, once for the driver and once for the passager is a crock of sh**. I my Ranger it was only once. Anyway it was easy enough. I did mine in the parking lot of the dealership while the salesman finished the paper work. He didn't know it could be done.
