First drive in the snow tonight....

Well after not having a 4 x 4 for the past 3 1/2 years, ( my 01 Screw was a 4 x 2) I was reminded tonight on my drive in to work how nice it is to have another one. Although I did not have to use it as the truck performed admirably in 2 wheel high it is just sort of reassuring that is is there if you need it. I wish some of the drivers I encountered on my 35 mile drive in had had it..
My commute is mostly 4 lane and for the most part I stayed in the passing lane that was covered with several inches of snow and held the truck at a constant 55 to 60 mph without any trouble.
I changed lanes a time or two, driving through the slush that is normal, without a single twitch out of the steeing wheel or having to fight the slush pulling me. No vibe, no slide.
I think I am going to like this truck, especially after I get my tuner from Mike this week, and then the Magnaflow exhaust the Monday after Christmas....

We had a good ice/snow dusting here in MAryland, enough to make the roads slick as a skating rink. Anyway, truck handled it too well, no slippage and plenty of grip (in 4wd). Tested the ABS and they work great as well. But I still like ridding around in 2wd, love fish-tailing around turns

Snow? what's that? no, seriously, we don't get enough snow here in ten years to amount to one decent snow from up north. It's like being in Florida or something!

F-150...We have a cabin on Lake Kennebec at Arden, Ont.We have to travel 401 from the Peace bridge and 407 bypass around toronto and I believe that driving near toronto is a death wish, I've been cutoff almost side swipped and rear ended.I saw one guy change 4 lanes without giving a hint of a signal.. I've driven all over but I believe toronto has the worst ...We hate that part of the trip,we get out of toronto and canadaian drivers are courteous..Certianly not picking on you...

I'm pretty impressed on how they handle in snow. We've had snow for about two weeks now, and the only times I've really had to put it in 4wd was when I needed to get out into traffic quickly. I had a 4wd Ranger before this truck, and as soon as there was any type of snow on the roads, I had to put it 4wd. Even though it had more aggressive tires.

Big SCrew,

Nice to see a fellow Marylander. I thought about going out last night but it was just too freakin' cold. I'm waiting for a good snow.
