finally found the rear blocks!

I finally found someone to offer me the rear blocks and u-bolts to raise the back of my 04 reg cab STX. I believe I've seen people on these forums who have raised there 2wd with the 4x4 blocks without the 4x4 shocks. Will I be able to do the same or would I be better of getting the shocks too?

He probably likes the stance of the 4x4. I also like the way the 4x4 looks compared to the 4x2.

Inbred is right. Im thinking about going with the 2.5" autospring. At least that way it level out just a tad.

Details on the blocks please? There was another post about using the 4WD F150 blocks and u-bolts. Is this the same or different?

Shawk, I notice freddy hasn't replied, so if your curious about power door locks, I put them in my STX Regular cab. The local custom shop wanted 260 plus tax, for keyless entry, with two power door locks.

No thanks.
I bought a 'crimestopper' keyless entry with two power door actuaters included for about 50 bucks. Installation was pretty easy.
Removing the panels has been covered to death in the forums, and I decided to bring in a discreet power wire from the battery, which is very easy on our trucks. My drivers door already had an actuater in it! So I used the left over to make my tailgate also keyless lock.
It took about three hours for the two doors.

I love the keyless entry so much I decided to put it in my Tracker last weekend. Put in an alarm and keyless entry, 50 bucks for alarm, 8.00 for two actuaters (great deal on E-bay.) three hours work for that.

An easy mod.
Chris

shawk,

Sorry for the VERY late response. I got the power door locks installed with the AutoPage alarm. They threw in tint for the front doors as well. $300.

im_poor,

From what I have read, we shouldn't need the 4x4 shocks. It might be recommended but not necessary. I just bought a pair of blocks and u-bolts from jperea, without the shocks. I'll probably install them tomorrow or the next day. Then again, I might go back to jperea and get the shocks from him.

Yeah, I wouldnt think that would be a problem with raising up the front. The 3" Skyjacker lift, from what I have read, is problem free as far as steering goes.
