The airbags didn't deploy, she hit it at about 40mph, and it skidded down the road. It laid there for about 15 minutes and got up and went into the swamp. I tried to track it when I got there, but it was raining, and once it got into the swamp, it was all over. I don't think it was hurt too bad, not a very big blood trail. I really wanted the meat, I figure if it's gonna take out my grille, it could have left some steaks for me...
The ins company gave us one of them whistler things. How nice. It's going into the shop this week, so hopefully I'll get it back soon into the new year.
Glad you had good luck with Beach Ford, when I got the Mustang back from Barton, there were runs in the paint.. Never going there again.

Deer always go to where there is water after internal injuries occur in an attempt to cool their internal temps., but they do die shortly after.

The truck still looks like it can drive fine. I bet that deer is saying to itself, "damn, that big f'n truck got away"!

It still sucks though. At least nobody got hurt.

That's the main point, the new F150.
I was looking at the NHSTA site, and couldn't believe the crash comparisons of the old Effie to the new one, Night and Day difference.
Congrats Ford, on building an extremely safe truck.
