Went To War Today....and The Back Seat Almost Won!
OMG, let me just say that removing the rear seat is one giant pain in the A$$!!! I got my amps in last night and had a slight concern (well a little more than slight) about them fitting behind the seat so I worried about it all night and figured as soon as I could slip away at work I would take the seat out and see. WELL I fought with that thing for 2 hours this morning and didn't do anything. So I carried the truck to the local Ford place for some help. They worked on it for 45min and "didn't have a clue" as to how to take it out. They recommended the trim shop they use for interior problems so I went there....they worked on it for 2hrs and couldnt get it out. They finally gave up. SO I went back hoem and tryed again...and again and finally an hour later I figured out how to do it. I went to the other side and got it loose on the second try....no problems at all. All the directions on here helped but you still have to feel how it works before you understand what to do.
Now for a tip....after seeing how those clips worked I took a zip tie and zipped tied them open so next time I need to get back there (next week when I do my install) I wont have to fight the clips. The seat belt thing thats bolted down to the top of the seat holds the seat in place fine so really yo dont need those friggin clamps anyway.

Well g/j on getting those pesky seats out, do tell what kind of amp/woffer (if any) setup you're putting in.

I am putting in two Profile Amps...an AP2000 for the woofers and an AP1400 for the mids and highs. Profiles are relativly cheap amps but I two of them in my Jeep that I have had for about 8 years (moved them from car to car) and they have never given me one minute of trouble and they sound great. So for bang for the buck they are IMO great amps.
As for speakers I am going with Kicker CompCVR 10s. MB Quart 5.25 compontes in the front doors and Alpine 6x8s in the rear doors.
Head unit is a Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD in-dash DVD player with a 6.5in screen and a Pioneer DEq-7600 full din equ/signal processor. These two mounted together in the dash will take up the pull double din space of the factory radio.
I am also adding XM and a 6in screen in each headrest.
It should be a pretty nice set up when I am done. I have all the stuff in except the component speakers for the front doors...and they should be here early next week. Even then I have to waite untill after CHRISTmas to do the install since most of the pieces are gifts and Lord knows you can't open them until CHRISTmas day! :santa:
I am just pimping the inside out to catch up wtih the outside....
As for my Jeep, I still have it...it's a 03 Sahra. I have both a hard and a soft top for it. In the pic below I have 31s on it but since then I have added a 2in Pro-Comp lift (springs not spacers) and up graded to 33s. I would say its a real Jeep...or at least as close to one as they make now!!!

As far as rather having the Jeep than the F150....Jeeps aren't worth a crap for driving every day. They are cramped, loud, ride rough, and get terrible MPG (for a 6cyl in a tiny vehicle). I drove it for work (Pharm. Rep) for about 6 months just couldn't take it anymore and bought the F150. Now its a great weekend toy but I will never have one for a driver again.
