Remember, no dashes and no spaces. And its now $32.

So when you go to search for the part number do it like this
2L1Z7842528ABB

Ah-ha. Found it. Thanks for the help.

One question. That part number pulls up two items.

1) Lift gate - Exterior trim - Nameplate - off-road package
off-road package 2003 - 2004

2) PLT ASY MDL IDENT

Same part number, same price. Do you know which is the correct one? Are they the same thing? One is from the Collision Catalog, and one is from the OEM catalog. Suggestions, ideas?

I was told rubbing alcohol will eat thru the clear coat. and that was after I cleaned my door handles and got some on the paint. I can't tell any damage but Im just warning you.

I have used regular 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol to clean my paint for 3 different badges on my truck and it hasn't caused any problems.

Cool. Thanks for resurrecting this thread. Always wondered why I couldn't find the part before.

Just ordered mine. Will be here next week. Too cool.

FX4 Emblems

Alright, I found the expedition emblems that you guys are talking about and am about to order a couple, but does anyone know or ever heard of replacing the fender nameplates with one that has an FX4 logo in the blank space that normally says Lariat or XLT? I think that would look great if they had such a thing...??
Also, any suggestions on exhaust upgrades and sound system upgrades?

almostajoker,

There are index pins on the fender badges that go through alignment holes in the fenders. The FX4 emblem does not have any index pins on it. I don't know if the FX4 emblem will cover the holes left when you remove the fender badge or not. I considered a couple of locations for the FX4 emblem: centered under the fender badge, or on the rear door at the lower corner of the rear window. As for the exhaust upgrade, go with Magnaflow and you can't go wrong.
