Auto headlamp sensor

Where is the auto headlamp sensor located and can you adjust the sensitivity of it to come on when it is gray skies and raining?

Your blinking red security light on the left side of the instrument panel is the photosensor for the autolamps. Whether or not it's adjustible, I dunno, I know older ones were. Look for a small flat head adjustment screw on it to see.

Edit: I just read that it's adjustible for time delay after you turn the ignition off, but nothing is mentioned about adjusting the sensitivity of it. I know driving around when it's cloudy and dreary, the autolamps are almost a little too sensitive. Like they'll turn on for a while, then off, then on, then off...

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:

Autolamps
The autolamp system, controlled by the vehicle security module, supplies voltage to the same circuits used by the headlamp switch to power the exterior lamps when low light conditions are detected. The autolamp system provides light sensitive automatic on/off control of the exterior lamps normally controlled by the headlamp switch. The autolamp system keeps the exterior lamps on for a pre-selected period of time after the ignition switch is turned off. The pre-selected time lapse is adjustable up to approximately three minutes. Refer to the owner literature for further information about the autolamp time lapse adjustment.

why not just reach down and turn them on when you want them on? too many people rely on auto this and auto that... i don't get
it.. i don't even use that mode on my switch for exactly that reason. i turn 'em on and off when i want 'em on or off.. it'll just make you lazy. like my neighbor in his caddy who just gets out and lets everything turn off on it's own, i'm hoping the system fails him and his battery dies... lazy lazy lazy ... shame on the auto this and that inventions, i'll take a working oil pressure
gauge over a light switch that turns itself on anyday, these
engineers are clueless, stuff you don't need is a plenty, stuff you should have not there ......
