Power seat base?

I feel a new mod comming on, Anybody heard of converting our seats to power by swapping the pedistals? The power seats I have seen locally have manual recline backs. The seat looks just the same as a manual, but with another base.
Anybody done this? or have any useful info?
Thanks
Chris

Exclamation Haven't don it but......

I beilieve your correct in that its probably just the base that needs to be changed.

Check to see if there is the proper electrical connector to accomidate the new electric seat base. Can't imagine they would have two different harnesses. But then again.............

The workshop manual shows only one blowup of the front seats and it shows them as the electrical base but says in the descriptions for the electric parts as "If equiped".

Thanks, HamRadio. for the info.
I'm confident the harness will be there, if I can just get the pedistals. I have done this in SUV's before, but you had to swap the whole seat becase of the power recline. So far no luck on finding the pedistals.
