Question Programer/Tuner options for 2005 5.4L

I know that the XCalibrator can tune an 05. When are Superchips and Diablo Sport going to come out with a tuner for the 2005? Thanks

It is actually my dads truck and he has an airaid and soon will have custom cat back exhuast. He runs 87 to 89 fuel stock, but I may be able to talk him into the good stuff. I think he would be more comfortable with a 1714 or a diablo tuner.

Anyone heard any release dates for these two?

It’s definitely worth the bucks. Huge difference in performance, this big heavy Screw I drive jumps now. I’m running the 93-octane Max. Performance tune right now but I tried the 87-octane Performance tune too, they both ROCK. I have a Magnaflow muffler and I’m waiting to get an Air Force One intake kit but they haven’t been released for the 04’s yet.

I'm in the same boat. I had my heart set on the Predator and contacted both Diablosprt and Superchips about release dates. All they could tell me was "coming soon!" and "keep checking the website!".

In the meantime, I've been reading the computer chip forum here and am now convinced that the Xcalibrator from Troyer Performance is the way to go because:

1) It's ready NOW! And you get custom tunes made specifically for your setup.
2) You can't beat the personal attention and customer service that everyone raves about with Mike Troyer. I've heard just the opposite is true about Diablo.

Let's hope Santa brings that Xcalibrator!

Crane doesn’t make one for the 04 F150. Post the info, if you can

It looks like a nice tuner but I don’t think it will be as good as a vehicle-specific custom tune

can you really tell that the xcalibrator is that much stronger the the 1714? Is there a big difference between the 87 octane and 93 octane burn? Thanks
