Oil Filters

I was kind of dissapinted in the Oil Filter comparison video. I would've liked to see a lineup of the actual 'filter media' in each of those filters. Canister size isn't always the best indicator of quality.

I know for a fact that AC Delco (GM) filters are of very high quality. Don't know about Motorcraft. Fram filters are some of the worst.

aside from brands, the spec is a larger filter. So A GM Fram and a Ford Fram are the comparison... or whomever the filter manufacturer is.

The larger filter equals more surface area for the filter medium, therefore working better.

I happen to disagree with the Fram bashing. They actually filter better than most. Some dweeb made an issue about cardboard end caps a few years ago or something, but I could care less since the filter itself does a better job than most others. 99% of people bashing Fram are just parroting what they have read and many have never used a Fram filter.

My dad (life-long mechanic) warned me not to use Fram. That along with other info I've seen has caused me to stop buying Fram completely. My dad does however give the Motorcraft filter good marks. The one recommended for the F150. For one, it was a valve that stops oil from totally draining out of the filter when the engine is not running. FL820S

How did you find the link to this truth about trucks thing? I don't see the link on Ford's truck page...or the main page. What gives? You'd think they would want this front and center.

Never mind...I see it now

I feel better about buying the F-150 over my second choice Nissan Titan.

Great site. Hey does anyone know where to get the "24" commercial that used to be on the Ford website. It was the long commercial with the F150 in it.
Sure, from my web server -> LINK.
