16 pin harness

I was pulling my dash apart 04 XLT 4x2 SC to see if I had the Audiophile harness and I dont think I do. Anywys, I found a 16 pin wire harness that was pluged into a dummy outlet right next to my cigarette lighter outlet. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks

Bryan

It's tied into the IRU's.

The 16 pin harness is more than likely for the steering wheel controls. I Don't think it comes with the XLT model. If you only have one connector going to your radio, then that is what it is for.

what radio do you have now and how many plugs are on the back of it?

just curious, because some people say their radio just has one plug, while most others have 2 plugs. That could be an extra plug, say for the 6-cd unit.
