Dealer pocketed my rebate

IMO, the dealer is not obligated to give you anything. You signed the deal and you should be held to that deal. Oh wait! I just bought some cookies from Kroger and I forgot I had a coupon at home for $.50 off. Maybe I should go to Kroger and complain.

Unless you paid full MSRP, which I highly doubt, you probably negotiated a price with your salesman. Obviously he used it as a factor in the price you paid for the truck.
When I was on the lot, looking at my truck, I told the salesman take 9000 off sticker price and I will drive it home tonight. I didn’t care where the rebates went.

I LOVE IT WHEN DEALERS SQUIRM
:santa: Well i just got off the phone with Ford and was told that the tow and go rebate was a regional thing that the dealers set up! And told me i needed to deal with my local dealer, but after i let him know about my rear end vibration and what i know about the lemon laws in Maryland he became very helpful!!!!
he said he called a friend at a dealer and checked my vin and sure enough i should have gotten the tools and the rebate!!
( and i did ask the dealer at time of the deal he told me it was not available)
now the sales manager at Waldorf Ford is looking into it and calling me back tonight!!!
Good info on the $1000 FMC rebate the truck is only 7 weeks old if i cant get the tow and go rebate i would love to burn them with the $1000 for refinance under 90 days

Update. I got a call from the general sales manager this morning.
First, with regards to the 3 month wait on refinancing: Apparently the dealer is charged back the FMCC rebate if you refi before 90 days. If you wait 90 days, you're simply doing the dealer a favor.
Now with regards to my Tow and Go Rebate issue: He said that he made a mistake in telling Ford CS that they processed the rebate. Apparently he thought that my truck was an XLT, which apparently would have qualified it. He also noted that the Tow and Go rebate eligibility would have been noted on the window sticker. Finally, he gave me their "we're a President's Award dealership and we don't do that kind of thing" spew.
So, it sounds he made a mistake. Could he be lying? Maybe, but I think I'll just chalk this one up as a learning lesson. Thanks everyone for your input.

Your first 3 payments will only pay a few dollars on the principal, the rest is interest. That interest is why Ford gives you the $1000 rebate in the first place. You will pay it back in the first 3 payments.
They will surely call after a bad survery, especially if you don't check the box that says, don't share with the dealer! A month after I burned the dealer I bought it on for lack of service for my vibes, the CSM called me all concerned. Funny how they didn't care before that paperwork went in
My dealer told me about how they lose out if I refinance w/in three months. Totally honest with me. Told him it didn't matter, with the 3.9% I got through the dealer I wasn't gonna beat it. But, I didn't get no damn tools when I bought.

I got the same 90 day line from my sales rep. Screw them. I refinanced before I made my first payment to Ford Motor credit, and lowered my interest rate from 6.9 to 3.9

Wow, sounds like you made one hell of a deal! $7k in rebates alone! To top it off, the Screw is supposed to have the least rebates available!
Looking forward to hearing about your "random" rebate. Hope your vibration issue gets resolved!

Legally, there is no way for the dealer to charge you for the money lost because you refinanced before 90 days. Nowhere in the contract does it say you must wait any lenght of time before refi'ing. They just tell you that. This kind of deceptive crap is exactly why I can't stand dealerships
