Borla catback on 2005 F150?

I have an '05 F150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 and have decided on the Borla SIDO catback system (part 140087). Has anybody put this part on a 2005 truck yet?

I called Borla and they haven't officially tested it on a 2005 yet. I figured the 04 and 05 were identical, but I called Ford and they had two different OEM part numbers for the exhaust??!!

Anybody have a clue to what's different exhaust-wise between the 04 and 05? I don't want to risk buying this part if something's a bit off...

Thanks!

It shouldnt matter as long as the same coupler is used to attach the original muffler. Past that everything is new and the body and frame and rear end is the same. So it should fit just fine.

just a suggestion but compare the part numbers for stock replacement of exhaust components of an 04 vs 05. NAPA or someplace like that should be able to help. maybe even the ford parts counter at the dealer you bought your truck.

i have an 04 screw that i put the borla SI DO on. i noticed a difference in performance but better yet it sounds great. got mine on ebay for 590.00 and free shipping.

Yeah, as I mentioned above I called Ford parts and they said there were two different part numbers for exhaust or '04 and '05. I don't know what would be different. If hangers have moved, that would be a bad thing...
